US rules on dual-use goods is issued by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), that is the Federal Government’s official, digital, secure resource for producing, procuring, cataloging, indexing, authenticating, disseminating, and preserving the official information products of the U.S. Government.

The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) annual edition is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Government Publishing Office (GPO). The texts in force relating to export controls by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which depends on the Department of Commerce, published by hyperlinks in the electronic version of the Code of Federal Register, called eCFR, in the following topics:
